The Annual Langley Christmas Tea
What started as a 200 person tea
now sells out at 500 seats each year!
It has become an annual tradition
in Langley – a time for our community
to come together, kick off the Christmas
season, and support less fortunate families.
Join us this November – celebrate the seasons and help raise funds for local charities that support Langley’s families in need.

the Cascades Casino Ballroom from 1-4pm
The Christmas Tea is a time for our community to come together to kick off the Christmas season and support our less fortunate Langley families.
This event is organized by the Thank You for Caring Society, a local non-profit volunteer organization that over the past decade, together with the support of our generous donors, has raised over $460,000.00 to support Langley Families. BC Society #S0071525
Traditionally, our live event sells out at 400 guests who join us for Christmas High Tea at Cascades Casino Resort Langley.
The 2023 Christmas Tea saw donations to the Langley Christmas Bureau, the Starfish Backpack program, the Langley Youth Hub, Langley Lodge and Meals on Wheels. We hope to continue donating to local groups supporting Langley families throughout the remainder of 2024.
Every year the Society reaches out to the business community asking for help supporting this special event which is committed to our local families in need.
2024 will be the year we surpass $500,000 in raised funds – help us reach this amazing milestone!!

Debbie Froese, the wife of Langley Township’s mayor, was the founder of the Mayors Wives’ Tea in benefit of the local Christmas Bureau and other charities. In 2019, the Tea evolved into a non-profit society, allowing us to expand our reach and help more Langley families in need. Since 2013, we have raised over $275,000.00 for the local Christmas Bureau and other local Charities and have helped over 700 Langley families annually! The legacy Debbie started is now proudly carried forward by our board members:
